His approach focused on perfecting the balance of flavours, using locally sourced oats, and baking the oatcakes to a perfect golden colour.
The original Povey’s Oatcakes were made by hand, baked in small batches, and shared with local families. Word quickly spread of the delicious oatcakes, made with care and the finest ingredients, and it wasn’t long before Povey’s became a household name in the local community.

As demand for Povey’s Oatcakes grew, the business expanded. What began as a small family operation soon grew into something larger. We’re also now supplying big supermarkets in the local area and other well-known chains so that the local community can pick up Povey’s Oatcakes in numerous supermarkets and corner shops.
